This is a very helpful program and tool that my staff and I really needed. Most importantly, it allowed us to learn about ourselves and how we fit into a larger picture of widespread bias. It was a poweful experience for me and it is making me look at many things differently.
I thought the virtual platform was great, and had an amazing collection of resources. The videos were very powerful and are a great tool to get messages across.
The realizations I had about myself, my own situations and my biases was really eye-opening. You think you don't have much to say or a perspective on something at first, and then when you let yourself go just below the surface, it's crazy how much comes up.
I appreciated the deep dive into self-reflection and awakening to unconscious bias, intersectionality and other barriers that not everyone may be aware of. I truly believe that change begins within oneself, and it's important to give people the tools to recognize and combat biases within themselves first.
I learned about what other people are going through in their day-to-day lives and how it's so different than mine.
It was a chance to analyze and take a close look internally both personally and organizationally in my arena of work, more outside than just within our office staff.
Over the weekend I had more mixed feelings following the live session…Again the experience and your efforts as a whole were a big help and I am more conscious of myself today. Thank you!
